Abstract

|
Menetrier´s disease is a well known disease which has giant gastric mucosal folds occasionally associated with exudation of serum protein into the stomach. But it is very rare and clinically it is frequently misdiagnosed as more common diseases such as diffusely infiltrating carcinoma, lymphoma, etc. Thiss case is th was seen in 22 year old young female and persisting uncontrolled bleeding together with narrowing of the antrum by radiology made it to be misdiagnosed as antral carcinoma. The antral narrowing observed in this case probably due to antralspasm accompanying rather extensive erosion at antrum which show bleeding persisted inspite of medical treatment for over a month.
